Another month goes by like THAT! Post-February re-cap

Here in another installment of SO MUCH HAPPENS every month in running a small business and outdoor apparel brand in Alaska!

Where to begin this time?

The highlight of the month was connecting with friend, and woman-owned apparel brand owner Mallory from Youer during her visit from Montana. We held a co-hosted pop up shopping evening at our Alpine Fit shop-in-shop inside AK Cycle Chic with the three of our businesses plus Skhoop! So fun, and it was great to see all the friendly faces come by for a visit and to shop woman-led brands!

We also snuck away for a 3 day backcountry skiing weekend, and had a blast despite warmer than normal temps for February. One of my favorite winter getaways, is a ski cabin in the the woods on the side of a mountain with friends, family, and comforting food!

In other news:

Garage Grown Gear published this awesome review of our gear! Woohoo!

We sent out invitations for the forthcoming Alaska Women In Leadership in the Outdoor Industry gathering - if you identify as this, or know someone who does, please let us know at workshop@alpinefit.com so we can include them! The next one is April 3rd, in conjunction with Alaska Outdoor Alliance’s Confluence Summit.

Our friend of Alpine Fit Carly Padrta ak Carly on the Kenai WON a photo contest held by the Alaska Famous “Milepost” and in the beautiful photo, we are thrilled that she is wearing her Alpine Fit gear! Yup, the Rendezvous Ridge Long Sleeve AND Bushwhacking Leggings!! Congrats Carly!

We are working on product development for summer styles and future seasons - some new fabrics, new style ideas, and revisions on old favorites we haven’t made in a while. Keep checking back with us as we roll out fun things - carefully and over time of course! We always endeavor to get something as close to “perfect” as we can before launching it and we aren’t really on the traditional timelines of other brands. #madeinalaska

We have a new color coming in a few weeks online in our bestseller Nordic Anywhere Merino Wool Hat! …and if you happen to be in Anchorage we have a little pre-release amount available for in person shopping before it launches. But, now that I’ve typed that, if you call in or email us and order it that way, we’ll be glad to send you one of the pre-launch mini release ones while they last!  907-230-1041 workshop@alpinefit.com
